Microsoft 365 Migration, IT Support
Andalusia Academy 365 Office Migration
Andalusia Academy Office 365 Migration
We have been working with Andalusia Academy for multiple years now, providing both in house and remote IT support. The need to teach & study remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in a IT transformation to facilitate this.
Covid-19 and educating students remotely.
Introducing a modern workplace model.
Migrating everything to Microsoft 365.
During COVID-19 the school found it very difficult with educating students remotely, with only legacy equipment and old processes for working – this limited the ability for students and staff to work remotely and effectively.
Working with a new headteacher who realises the importance of IT within modern teaching we discussed various possible solutions. We decided the modern workplace model was what we were trying to achieve. We wanted something which would last and ensure ease of use for staff and students.
- Allow Students and Staff to access work from anywhere securely
- Move from legacy servers
- Improve security
- Remote teaching (Virtual classrooms, resources available)
- Access to teaching resources out of school
The decision was made to move to Microsoft 365. Moving all student and staff data into OneDrive and Teams will allow them to access their work and resources whilst outside of school.
This removes the concern of legacy equipment failing and reducing their cost expenditure on buying new hardware and licensing.
School computers will be connected via Azure Active directory and can be managed with Intune to ensure smooth working. This allows for enhanced security for both machines and users ensuring data is secure. Additional future auditing and security measures can be implemented easily as their needs grow.
