How much does a full brand identity cost?
A logo-only project for an early-stage business typically lands between £1,500 and £5,000. A full visual identity system — logo, type system, colour palette, iconography, brand guidelines — is more like £6,000–£20,000. Strategic brand work (positioning, naming, messaging frameworks) on top is another £5,000–£25,000 depending on scope. A complete rebrand for an established business with multiple touchpoints sits at the higher end.How long does a branding project take?
Logo-only projects usually run two to four weeks. Full visual identity systems take six to ten weeks from kickoff to delivered assets and guidelines. Strategic rebrands with positioning, naming, and stakeholder workshops can run twelve to sixteen weeks. We always work in defined phases — discovery, exploration, refinement, delivery — so you see progress at each stage rather than a black box.Do we just need a new logo, or a full visual identity?
If your business shows up in only one or two places (a website, the occasional social post), a logo and basic colour palette is often enough. If you're producing slide decks, marketing collateral, signage, packaging, or an app interface, a full system pays back fast — without it, every touchpoint drifts and the brand stops feeling cohesive. The honest test is: how many people in the business currently make design decisions without guidelines?When should an established business consider a rebrand?
When the brand no longer matches what the business has become — usually after a significant pivot, merger, or shift in target market. Or when the original identity has aged badly enough that it's actively undermining trust with prospects. Refreshes (evolving the existing identity) are usually a better answer than full rebrands; full rebrands are right when the existing brand is actively working against the business.Who owns the design files and source assets?
You do. All source files (Figma, Illustrator, fonts where licensing permits, raw photography) are handed over at project end, with full usage rights. There's no licensing arrangement that prevents you using your own brand, no ongoing fees for assets we created, and no requirement to come back to us for future work — though most clients do.Do you handle implementation across our website and digital channels?
Yes — and this is where most rebrands fall down. We can roll the new identity into your website, social templates, email signatures, slide deck masters, and any product UI in the same engagement, so the brand actually lands across every surface within weeks of guideline delivery. Doing brand and implementation as separate projects often creates a months-long gap where the new identity exists only on paper.How do you balance personal taste with brand strategy?
Strategy first, then design choices flow from it. We start by defining what the brand needs to do — who it's talking to, what action it drives, what it's competing against — and design within that brief. That gives both sides something objective to evaluate against, so 'I don't like blue' becomes 'this colour doesn't differentiate us from these three competitors' (or, in some cases, 'fair point, let's try another route').
